Millenium books series By Eric Girold This is a quick review of the best police/suspense series I've read in the last twelve months. The setting is Sweden, in its capital city Stockholm, and its surroundings. The author's name is Stig Larsson. An anecdote before getting to the core of the topic : he handed out the three manuscripts of his best-selling masterpiece and unfortunately died a few weeks later. So, we won't have the pleasure to read and learn anymore about his endearing characters. I won't unveil the different plotlines that intertwine to rush the reader to a tremendous climax. No, I won't spoil it for anybody who plans to take a look at the books. I'll just mention the most lovable and at the same time pitiful character, whose name is Lisbeth Salander. This young woman is as frail in her body as she is tough and unrelenting in her determination to get rid of the monster who made her life such a miserable failure until now. In the process, she will meet helpers and enemies and her struggle is alternatively gripping and awe-inspiring. Remember her name : Lisbeth Salander. I wish I knew her and that she was a real person. It's the best tribute I can make to such a promising novelist, who left this earth so quickly. READ IT, it will left you stunned.
